Who is eligible to participate in Astrophilia?
Anyone (Young/Old, Astronomers/Non-astronomers) from any country is welcomed to participate
Is there any age limit for entrants?
There is no age limitation. Anyone can participate under his/her age category mentioned below
Division 1: Below 11 years, Division 2: 11 - 18 years, Division 3: Above 18 years
Are there any restrictions regarding language?
Language restrictions will be only applied for writing competitions. Entrants can submit their documents in
Sinhala or English Language for Writing Competitions
How do I submit my final document?
The submission formats for each competition (through website) are as follows:
Astrophotography Competition: An Image File (.jpeg, .png)
Art Competition: An Image File (Ex. .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .tif etc.)
Family Event: An Image File (Ex. .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .tif etc.)
Writing Competitions: A PDF File (If you are in Division 1 which is 'below 11 years' , you can take a photograph of your handwritten document and convert it to PDF using this link and submit the obtained PDF)
I am not having that much knowledge in Astronomy. Am I able to participate in this contest?
It does not matter. Everyone is highly welcomed to participate.
Is there any Subscription fee or Application fee for any contest under Astrophilia 2020?
Definitely not. Every competition is totally free of application or subscription charges/fees.
